Crime of Passions
In one of Passions' most exciting tales ever, Theresa confessed to a murder she didn't commit and was seemingly executed for the crime! Along the way, there were certainly lots of twists and turns in the lives of Theresa and those around her. Follow along week-by-week as we relive this dramatic Passions story!

CONSPIRACY - WEEK 1
The stage has been set for the "Crime of Passions." This week, Rebecca revealed to Ivy her deadly plan for Theresa. The key to the sinister plot is a fake tape that shows Ethan killing Julian! Ms. Hotchkiss was confident that once Theresa viewed the tape, she would believe it was her fault that Ethan killed Julian. After all, Ethan was furious with Julian for taking advantage of Theresa when she was drunk and getting her pregnant. And since Theresa is ever-the-romantic, she would undoubtedly sacrifice herself for the man she loves by confessing to the murder. According to Rebecca, it would be just a matter of time before Theresa was on death row! To set her trap, Rebecca first cleverly manipulated Theresa's heartstrings. By the time Theresa watched the videotape, Rebecca and Ivy had Theresa right where they wanted her. A horrified Theresa believed that Ethan had committed murder for her! Will Theresa's heart lead her to a "Crime of Passions?"

CONFESSION - WEEK 2
It is an emotionally grueling week for Theresa as all roads lead her to the "Crime of Passions." Just as Rebecca predicted, a guilt-ridden Theresa believes that Ethan committed murder because of her actions. She is determined not to let anyone find out about Ethan's crime. But when she hears that the police have stepped up their investigation, she pours her heart out to Father Lonigan. When the priest advises her to tell the police, she refuses-and coldly reminds him that he is bound by the oaths of confidentiality. Theresa becomes further unhinged when she learns that Charity had a premonition that Chief Bennett would be making an arrest. She goes to the police station and mistakenly believes that Ethan is about to be arrested! In an effort to protect the man she loves, Theresa blurts out that she is the one who killed Julian!

EVIDENCE - WEEK 3
This week, Theresa holds strong to her confession of Julian's murder. Luis cannot believe that his sister was responsible for the crime, and begs her to recant her confession. But Theresa doesn't back down, and insists on making a formal statement. A horrified Ethan rushes to the station when he hears about Theresa's confession, knowing that she did not kill Julian. Luis firmly believes that Theresa is covering for someone. In an effort to save his sister, he boldly confesses to the crime, but Sam realizes what he is up to. Sam has no choice but to arrest and book Theresa for the murder of Julian Crane! Luis and Ethan are shocked when the police uncover evidence against Theresa-they find the gun exactly where she says she left it at the Crane Estate. To make matters worse, a bullet is missing! In another attempt to save Theresa, Luis calls Whitney and asks her to talk some sense into Theresa. Whitney realizes that Theresa is covering for Ethan!

PRESSURE - WEEK 4
Theresa denies Whitney's theory that she is covering for Ethan. She insists that she is the one responsible for Julian's murder. A desperate Whitney asks Ethan for the truth, and he honestly denies that he killed Julian-he would never let Theresa take the fall for his crime! The evidence builds against Theresa as gunpowder residue is found on the gloves that she was wearing the night of the murder. However, Theresa believes that since she is a Crane, Alistair will protect her. But Mr. Davis, the Crane attorney, receives a call from Alistair saying that he wants Theresa to pay! Theresa's bail hearing begins, but is interrupted when a frantic Pilar rushes into the courtroom. She furiously slaps Theresa and begs her daughter to tell the truth! When order is restored, the judge sets bail at ten million dollars! Theresa is delighted when Alistair posts bail-she knew he'd come through for her. But little does Theresa know that this is all part of Alistair's plan to make sure Theresa is punished!

PUNISHMENT - WEEK 5
Theresa holds to her belief that the Cranes will never allow her to go to jail or be sentenced to death for Julian's murder. Unbeknownst to Theresa, there are other forces working against her-namely Ivy and Rebecca. Rebecca points out to Ivy that the longer it takes to get Theresa sentenced, the greater the chance that something will go wrong. Ivy manipulates Theresa into believing it's for the best if the hearing is soon. Meanwhile, Ethan believes that he can help Theresa, but only if he has plenty of time to work on the case. Theresa's friends and family are horrified when Davis announces that the sentencing has been set for that very afternoon. Before the hearing, Alistair once again tells Davis that he wants Theresa to pay for her crime. All gather at the courtroom for the sentencing, and are shocked when the judge sentences Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald Crane to death!
